Our mountain lion hunts are operated on a 23,000 acre ranch with lots of road access, that makes for great opportunity to cut a fresh lion track.  We use dogs for this hunt and hunts are generally done in December and January.  The area we hunt is on a quota system, so hunts are done as soon as conditions are good and we can run.  It's possible to put on 50 miles a day, driving roads and looking for tracks.  It is not uncommon to have several tracks to choose from, when the conditions are prime.

This is a 6 day hunt with lodging at the ranch included.  Transportation to and from the ranch and all in field transportation is included as well.  Food and cooking is the responsibility of the hunter or a cook and food can be arranged at an additional cost.  Hunter is also responsible for license cost and taxidermy.  Licenses are over the counter and this area is on a quota system.

In an effort to maximize this hunt and the opportunity for our hunters, we operate these hunts through a hunter list.  The ranches conditions can vary greatly from good to bad, in terms of snow for tracking the lions.  To be fair to you as the hunter, we don't want to book you for a specific set of dates.  We begin calling hunters to come hunt, once we have the conditions for a quality hunt and not waste anybody's time.  Please call or click the button below, to get on the mountain lion hunt call list.
